One century ago Albert Einstein published "On the electrodynamics of moving bodies".
In that paper Einstein questioned the essence of time and space with unprecedented lucidity.
The impact of Einstein's ideas on mankind is flourishing slowly. One century after his job,
the acceptance of the invariance of spacetime interval as a natural property of
spacetime is still far from universal.
Thousands of years before, in China, some unknown genius created the most beautiful game mankind
has ever known. Today, in the XXI century, the game resists computer analysis and many researchers
believe that significant scientific advance is required before that game is mastered by a machine.
It is called Wei Chi (which means "the encirclement game") suggesting that it is about space,
but, just like the universe, it requires spacetime thinking: Not understanding the moment
to play a move is not understanding the game.
This program is a compatible and open (not to be confused with free) platform to
play, study and research on Go (the Japanese name for Wei Chi). Even if not registered, no feature
has been limited anyhow and you can enjoy GoKnot for free. But, if you use it regularly, and
you value the existence of such a tool, you should do the right thing and register your GoKnot
copy once here. As a
registered user, you will get a free registration patcher each time a new version is released. Running
the patcher removes a message that GoKnot displays after 10 hours of accumulated use reminding that
registration is pending.
If you want to collaborate with GoKnot, be welcome to the club. You can write engines, textures,
translate it, or run a GK forum. You will get the income of your job (if users register it). If
you are looking for something to get rich, search elsewhere, Go software is not a lucrative industry.
